We now have a new winner

Hawkeye is kind enough to concede that he knows nothing about politics nor he wants to know anything about it. There is nothing wrong about that; there are hundreds of things in which I have no interest whatsoever which I am sure are as interesting to their followers as politics is to me. Perhaps, he is also right that people bore him with all the “gory details”. And yet, when he cites the example of ONE particular student he knew to make statements like ‘’students don’t influence politics” and therefore they only should work, eat and shag, the logic goes haywire.I am very much interested in Cricket. And so are apparently Sabnis and Hawkeye. And yet none of our comments and our rants influence what happens on the cricket field. Not even the most impassioned follower of Indian cricket has any doubt (I hope) that there is anything he can teach Sachin Tendulkar or Rahul Dravid. Yet, does it stop us from spending hours dissecting their every move?

I had somehow missed it. Apologies all round.
