Eka

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

Last week, TCS announced that Eka was adjudged the fourth fastest supercomputer in the world. Newspapers carried it on the front page and the men in Mount Road even managed push Calcutta off their editorial space for a day.

Moral of the story: Failure to achieve what was intended — a specific architecture for instance — can be overcome by buying technology off the shelf and space on print. Airwaves come free anyway.
